Island Members¶
Island members are players you trust with build access to your island. They can build, break blocks, and interact with your island as if it were their own.

Command Shortcuts
The base /is members command opens a UI where you can manage members visually. Use the subcommands to add/remove members directly from chat.
What Can Members Do?¶
Island members have full access to your island, including:
- Building: Place any blocks anywhere on the island
- Breaking: Destroy any blocks on the island
- Interactions: Use chests, crafting stations, doors, and other interactive blocks
- Fluids: Place and pick up water/lava with buckets
- Harvesting: Break crops, plants, and rubble
- Home Setting: Set named homes on your island using
/is sethome <name>
Trust Your Members
Members have complete build access to your island. Only add players you trust, as they can modify or remove anything on your island.
What Members Cannot Do¶
Members do not have these permissions:
- Island Settings: Cannot change public/private status, PvP settings, or welcome message
- Default Home: Cannot change your island's default home location (but can set their own named homes)
- Visitor Spawn: Cannot set the visitor spawn point
- Member Management: Cannot add or remove other members
- Island Reset: Cannot reset your island
- Island Upgrades: Cannot upgrade your island size
- Expelling: Cannot expel visitors from your island
Member Benefits¶
Free Visiting¶
Members bypass the visit request system:
- No need to use /is goto and wait for approval
- Can use /is home <name> to teleport to named homes they set on your island
- Unlimited access as long as they remain a member
Collaborative Building¶
Members can work together on: - Shared builds and mega-projects - Cooperative farms and resource collection - Pooled resources in shared chests
Team Islands
While the plugin doesn't have formal "team islands," you can effectively create one by adding trusted players as members and sharing resources.
Removing Members¶
When you remove a member:
- They immediately lose build access to your island
- They retain any named homes they set on your island (but cannot set new ones)
- They must request a visit (if island is private) or use /is visit (if public) to return
To permanently remove a member and their homes:
- Use
/is members remove <player>to remove their member status - Ask them to delete their homes with
/is delhome <name>, or wait for them to do so
Automatic Home Cleanup
Named homes are tied to the player who created them, not the island. Removed members can still teleport to their named homes unless they delete them.
Best Practices¶
- Start Small: Add one or two trusted friends before expanding your member list
- Communicate: Let members know your island rules and building guidelines
- Shared Storage: Designate specific chests for shared resources vs. personal items
- Regular Check-ins: Review your member list periodically and remove inactive players
- Named Homes: Encourage members to set named homes at important locations (farms, storage, builds)
Griefing Protection
While members can modify your island, the plugin doesn't provide rollback or grief protection. Choose your members carefully and consider keeping backups if possible.
