Islands

Your island is your personal floating base in the sky. This guide covers everything about creating, managing, and upgrading your island.

Creating Your Island

When you first join the server, use /island (or /is) to create your island. You can choose between two modes:

  • Normal Mode: Standard survival experience with full starter items
  • Hardcore Mode: Challenge mode with limited starter items and permanent island loss on death

Mode Selection

Server admins can configure which modes are available. Some servers may only offer one mode.

Teleporting Home

Use these commands to return to your island:

Command Arguments Permission Description
/is home None htskyblock.island.home Teleport to your default island home location
/is home <name> <name> - Home name htskyblock.island.home Teleport to a specific named home

Setting Home Locations

Default Home

Set your main island spawn point where you'll teleport when using /is home:

Command Permission Description
/is sethome htskyblock.island.sethome Set your default home at your current location

Default Home Location

You must be on your own island to set the default home. This location is saved to your island data.

Named Homes

Create multiple home points across your island or on islands where you're a member:

Command Arguments Permission Description
/is sethome <name> <name> - Home name htskyblock.island.sethome Create a named home at your current location
/is homes None htskyblock.island.homes View all your named homes
/is delhome <name> <name> - Home name htskyblock.island.delhome Delete a named home

Named Homes for Members

Island members can set named homes on islands they have access to, making it easy to return to shared builds.

Resetting Your Island

Reset your island to start fresh with a new island:

Command Permission Description
/is reset htskyblock.island.reset Delete your current island and create a new one

Reset Cooldown

Island resets have a 24-hour cooldown (configurable by admins). You'll see a confirmation prompt before the reset is finalized.

Inventory Clearing

By default, resetting your island will clear your inventory. Hardcore islands always clear inventory on reset.

Island Information

Check details about your island:

Command Permission Description
/is info htskyblock.island.info View your island information (location, size, members)
/is calc htskyblock.island.calc Calculate your current island score (based on placed blocks)
/is top htskyblock.island.top View the island leaderboard (top islands by score)

Island Settings

Customize your island's behavior and access:

Command Permission Description
/is settings htskyblock.island.settings Open the island settings UI
/is open htskyblock.island.open Make your island public (anyone can visit)
/is lock htskyblock.island.lock Make your island private (requires visit requests)

Settings You Can Configure

  • Public/Private: Control whether players can freely visit your island
  • PvP: Enable or disable player combat on your island
  • Welcome Message: Set a custom message visitors see when arriving
  • Visitor Spawn: Set where visitors teleport when using /is goto

Use /is setspawn (requires htskyblock.island.setspawn permission) to set the visitor spawn point at your current location.

Upgrading Island Size

Islands have 4 size tiers that expand your buildable area:

Tier Size Default Cost Currency Type
1 50x50 blocks Free (starting tier) N/A
2 100x100 blocks 10,000 Island score or currency
3 150x150 blocks 50,000 Island score or currency
4 200x200 blocks 200,000 Island score or currency
Command Permission Description
/is upgrade htskyblock.island.upgrade Upgrade your island to the next size tier

Upgrade Currency

Server admins can configure whether upgrades cost island score (calculated from blocks you've placed) or in-game currency. Check with /is upgrade to see the cost and your current balance.

Help Command

Command Permission Description
/is help htskyblock.island.help Display all available island commands

Command Aliases

You can use /is as a shortcut for /island in all commands.
