Managing Your Listings

Viewing Your Listings

Command Description
/ah mylistings View all your active listings

From this UI you can: - See all items you've listed - Check time remaining - Cancel listings (item returned to your inventory) - View total listing value

Claiming Expired Items

Command Description
/ah expired View and claim expired (unsold) listings

When a listing expires without selling: - The item is held in the expired items storage - You must claim it manually using /ah expired - Items remain in storage until claimed

Expiration Management

Check /ah expired regularly to reclaim unsold items. Consider relisting at a lower price if items aren't selling.

Listing Duration

Default listing duration is 24 hours (configurable by admins). You can specify custom durations when listing:

  • /ah sell 1000 12 - 12 hour listing
  • /ah sell 1000 24 - 24 hour listing (default)
  • /ah sell 1000 48 - 48 hour listing

Duration Limits

Server admins may set minimum and maximum listing durations. Check with /ah sell for details.

Pricing Your Items

Price Checking

Before listing, consider:

  1. Shop Prices: Check /shop for base item values
  2. Other Listings: Browse existing AH listings for similar items
  3. Item Rarity: Rare items can command premium prices
  4. Demand: Popular items sell faster at competitive prices

Pricing Strategies

  • Competitive Pricing: Match or undercut existing listings
  • Premium Pricing: Set higher prices for rare or valuable items
  • Quick Sale: Price below shop value for fast sales
  • Bulk Discounts: Lower per-unit price for bulk quantities

Undercutting Strategy

Listings are often sorted by price. Undercutting the cheapest listing by a small amount can make your item appear first.

Broadcast Announcements

When enabled by admins, new listings are announced in chat:

  • Player name and item being listed
  • Quantity and price
  • Clickable link to view the listing

Broadcast Settings

Admins can enable/disable listing announcements server-wide. This helps players discover new items without constantly checking the AH.

Auction House Tips

  1. Check Daily: New items are listed frequently - check regularly for deals
  2. Price Research: Always check both shop and AH prices before buying
  3. Relist Strategically: If items don't sell, try lowering the price or changing the duration
  4. Bulk Sales: List common items in bulk (e.g., 64 cobblestone) for better value
  5. Rare Item Markup: Rare or hard-to-obtain items can be priced significantly above shop value
  6. Watch Expirations: Keep track of your listings to relist before they expire
  7. Tax Calculation: Remember to factor in the 5% sale tax when setting prices

Troubleshooting

"You have too many active listings"

Cancel or wait for existing listings to sell/expire before creating new ones.

"Listing cooldown active"

Wait 3 seconds (or configured cooldown) between creating listings.

"Price too low"

The minimum price is $1.00 (or configured minimum). Set a higher price.

"Not enough inventory space"

Clear inventory space before buying items or claiming expired listings.

"Item cannot be listed"

Some items (quest items, soulbound items, etc.) cannot be listed on the AH.

Listing Permissions

Ensure you have permission to use the Auction House. Some servers may restrict AH access to certain ranks or require a minimum playtime.
